Let’s be honest, cleaning records isn’t anyone’s top priority. From cloths as hard as carboard to brushes with sharp edges, the choices aren’t always inspiring.
Give each record a dust off on the turntable just before playing from the centre label to the outer edge – removing static reduces the crackle, removing dust helps reduce pops and clicks.
Tip: Fold it to hold it from sleeve to turntable… Don’t directly touch your records… oils from your fingerprints attract dust and dirt.
